API Key or Passphrase

You have two options:

• Shared passphrase — Enter the passphrase you were given. The server will authenticate on your behalf.
• Own API key — Sign up at console.deepgram.com, create a key with Member permissions. For balance display, add the billing:read scope.

Your key or passphrase is stored only in this browser's local storage.

Keyterms

Enter one word or phrase per line. These boost Deepgram's recognition of specialized vocabulary like proper nouns, brand names, or jargon.

Example:

• Kubernetes
• GraphQL

Substitutions

Post-transcription text replacements. Enter one per line using pattern=replacement format. Matching is case-insensitive with word boundaries.

Example:

• my email=user@example.com
• k eight s=Kubernetes
• post gress=PostgreSQL

How to Use

Recording

Tap the microphone button at the bottom to start recording. Tap again to stop. Your speech is transcribed by Deepgram's Nova-3 AI model.

Modes

• Batch — Records audio locally, sends to Deepgram when you stop. Best for short recordings.
• Streaming — Sends audio in real-time as you speak. Shows partial results live. Best for longer dictation.

Editing

Each transcript appears in an editable text field. Tap into it to correct any errors before copying or sharing.

Resume Recording

To add more text to an existing transcript:

• Tap into the text field to place your cursor
• Tap the +Rec button on that card
• New speech is inserted at the cursor position

Copy & Share

Copy puts the text on your clipboard. Share opens your device's native share sheet to send directly to Messages, Mail, Notes, etc.

Install as App

On iPhone: tap the Share button in Safari, then Add to Home Screen. The app launches full-screen without browser chrome.

Cost

Each transcription shows its duration and cost. Deepgram charges $0.0077/minute for Nova-3. Your account balance is shown in the top-right.
